My Profile

At the age of eighteen, I attended a three-year professional Musical Theatre Diploma Course at the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts College in Epsom, Surrey, studying singing, dance and drama. After graduating, I travelled the world as a singer/dancer for almost ten years and thoroughly enjoyed it.

My entry into the fitness industry was as an aerobics and step exercise instructor in the year 2000 but I already had an interest in Pilates and soon began to introduce Pilates principles into my classes. I found that my students loved it and were asking for more so I decided to train as a Pilates instructor with Modern Pilates.

In 2001 I moved to Italy and found work teaching Pilates in a local gym. Pilates was still very new to Italy at that time and it was difficult at first to introduce a new discipline there. With perseverance (and also because Pilates works!) the numbers of students in my classes began to grow and I also gained popularity as a Pilates personal trainer with clients ranging from twenty to eighty-two years old!

I have been teaching Modern Pilates for over twenty years now and have seen it benefit many of my clients and improve the quality of their lives, both physically and emotionally. Following on from the initial Matwork training, I went on to undertake specialist courses including BackCare, Hip and Knee, Pre/Post-Natal Pilates, Pilates for the Ageing and Neuro Pilates.

After eleven years in Italy, I moved back to the UK and am currently delivering both face to face classes and classes on Zoom, which started during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Please see my class timetable under the 'Timetable' tab for more information.
